Do I get root access on my dedicated server?

You don't get root access. The reason is that it is a managed dedicated server: we make sure that your server runs smoothly and securely and in order to do that we need to install our own tools on it and make sure that they stay there and that the server is set up in a certain way. In practice this is almost never a problem though because you can install pretty much all you want in your HOME directory and we can install some tools globally for you..

Where are your servers located?

Our servers are in ThePlanet's datacenter in Texas (often cited as one of the best datacenters in the world).
